Hortus Loci have supplied a number of show gardens, private residential projects and temporary installations for my practice, and the quality, installation and service has always been exceptional. The nursery is full of interesting and unusual specimens, alongside more well known garden plants. I can highly recommend Mark, Robin and the team for advice and plant sourcing. I always feel inspired after a visit to the nursery, and the coffee and cakes from the onsite cafe (Hobo Co) is an added bonus to any visit.

Hortus Loci are my one stop shop. I know that if I’ve a diverse list that includes 36 Quercus palustris at 18m tall to source for an avenue, a collection of unusual Hamamelis for a new woodland and over 2000 perennials all to be delivered on a certain date they will source all that’s on the list and deliver on the chosen date without demure. Problems are rare, but when they do happen they are dealt with quickly and efficiently and with that all-important sense of humour. I would always recommend without hesitation.

Hortus Loci really are my extended family. I can rely on them to gather whatever it is I need for my projects, and no ask is too big or small. From new and developing small projects to full blown spectacular show gardens, they are simply the best at what they do!

What has Hortus Loci ever done for us?  Well, apart from sourcing pretty much anything, giving us the benefit of their knowledge and experience, growing plants on, delivering on time, planting trees, keeping our spirits up and providing all the support we need for award-winning show gardens, (oh and keeping us fuelled with coffee when we’re flagging) …nothing really.
